Rescue workers with the overturned modified truck at the scene of the accident in Nam Phong district, Khon Kaen on Friday morning. Nine students were badly hurt and 15 others sustained minor injuries when it crashed off the road while taking them to school. The accident occurred about 7.40am on Nam Phong-Kranuan Road in tambon Nong Kun, said Pol Maj Phumin Innok, a duty officer at Nam Phong police station. The truck, taking the students to school, left the slippery road and overturned on the shoulder. He tried to stop, but the truck ran off the road and overturned, Mr Suwat said.
